| Education: | I have had years of experience with children. I have 2 grown sons, and 4 grandchildren. I returned to school when I was in my 30s, so I know the challenges of a "nontraditional learner". My degree was in Education from the University of Findlay 1993 with a minor in Psychology. I have had additional training in Linda-Mood Bell Multisensory Reading Program in the areas of reading and math. |
| Experience: | I decided that there was a true need for 1-1 tutoring outside the school systems. I have been doing this for 10 years now. My goal is to support and encourage the student, parent and teachers. To give them skills not only for the test today, but knowledge for years to come. The tutoring is done at the Findlay Hancock Public Library where we have access to all those wonderful resources. We are also away from the distractions of home (tv, game boys, friends knocking at the door) |
| Hobbies: | I love to read and to learn. I love to pass that love on to others. What joy to hear "he/she is actually picking up a book and reading"! |
